My 1981 Yamaha yz465H, one day after it was bought new from sportsequipe in Northwich, Cheshire from the late Jack Matthews.
The bike in this project, when new in 1981 cost a whopping £1,400.00 it is now worth more than double the price paid, but as always, its value is purely what someone is prepared to pay for it, for me to sell at the moment with everything done from the ground up, I would not be interested at offer less than £5,000. That equates the the fact that the bike is not yet up for sale, who knows, if I fall out with the bike, it may go to the first person who waves £3,000 at me which is about the going rate for a fully sorted 'ready to race' restoration.
After sitting still for 30 years, the bike had reduced to a bare frame with a removed engine.

The Pig eventually grunts!
After hours of relentless kicking and getting nothing back, not even a cough from the pig. We had a spark, fuel, and struggled to understand why we had a dead engine. The question was about if the spark was at the right time. In a desperate attempt we changed the flywheel, kicked it with no exhaust on to see if the excess fuel spilled from the port and we had rather a loud pop. Then simply put the pipe back on and the result can be seen in the film clip.
Not 100% completed, but close enough to run, the bike had its first run as seen above, seriously loud with the original silencer, but enough to test, the riding experience was enjoyable, but we still have a way to go. Search through the site and see what we have done.
